Robin Copperthwaite

Temple Physical Therapy Clinical Supervisor

Robin's combined professional skill and passion for athletics makes her a perfect fit in Cheshire's medical community. During her 16 years in physical therapy, she has focused on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly as it applies to sports.

Robin earned her Physical Therapy degree at University of Connecticut. She both played and coached Division I. soccer at Rutgers University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. She served as an assistant coach at George Washington and Yale University.

Currently, she competes in Sprint and Olympic distance Triathlons. This ongoing first-hand knowledge gives her a critical edge. By helping community and school-based sports teams learn to train safely and avoid injury while competing, she keeps young athletes playing actively on Cheshire's sports teams.

Robin has also been an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University, teaching courses in the Foot and Ankle. She has great expertise in lower extremity biomechanics and orthotic prescription. She can create both custom and non custom foot orthotics for all ages. Her expertise and community involvement make her an asset to Temple Physical Therapy and the Cheshire community.
