David Reis, M.D.

Dr. David Reis joined Temple Cardiac Rehab in 2009. Dr. Reis has been a consulting cardiologist for 22 years. Dr. Reis has the additional experience of national medical directorships in Fortune 500 corporate health benefits design, and preauthorization and utilization review. Dr. Reis has a passion for patient advocacy and customer service, and brings a project management background to the cardiac rehab experience.

Dr. Reis attended Brown University, New York University School of Medicine with Cardiology and Invasive Cardiology Fellowships at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Reis is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Dr. Reis interests include care integration, preventive cardiology, population based outcomes and incentive based behavior change. Dr. Reis is especially interested in applications of cardiac rehab prior to the overt manifestation of cardiac disease in at risk populations, major surgical interventions and during muscle depleting chemotherapy. Dr. Reis is happy to speak directly with referring primary and specialty care physicians, health plan case managers, and representatives of self-insured populations regarding Temple Cardiac Rehab’s programs and customized care plans.
